READER'S RIDE: D-WAN's FD3S Featured On PROTUNERS v4.0
D-WAN, or Lim Kim Wan a veteran from the south has started his drifting career with a A31 and then to his "team orange" 180sx, the one and only 180sx with a roof scoop. LOL Right about this time of the year during 2009, he told me he acquired a FD3s and the plans he had for the monster. Some of you might have seen the car in Singapore when it had its maiden competition at Formula D 2010. Here's what it looks like close up.

I'm in favour of the hint of carbon details in the car but not a fan of the crazy loads of meters on the dash. Clutch pump handbrake mounted on the wrong side? but he was doing so well with the clipping points in FD.. hmm.. LOL!

Honda was supposed to come out with their NSX.. but they pulled it off from the production line thanks to the economy crisis. So all we got left here in the video are these two surviving monsters.

Unlike stretching a rubber band over your wrist, One of the ingenious ways of stretching tyres over man sized wheels is to torch the rubber from the inside using aerosol. Since when we mentioned that motorsports is friendly to the environment to start off with? :p
Hippari, ヒッパリ - A style of tyre mounting where a smaller width tire is "stretched" onto a much wider rim. Used for extremely lowered cars to clear the fenders. Well, some claims that it will lower the tyre wall flex and all, Come to think of it, if it actually helps, the big boys at formula one would be running hipparis since Jackie Stewart was at the steering wheel.
After an explosive experience at the garage, your tyres would leech onto those sexy rims and air has to be pumped in immediately. and Voila!

EVENT COVERAGE: GRASS RALLY AWESOMENESS RD 1
Saw many familiar faces there at the event this morning. Everybody came with their own set of strategies to nick a few seconds from their opponents. Drivers with the same cars comparing their timing with each other. While drifters enjoying the concrete pavement set with some morning donut breakfast. Oh, and the new chicks at GRA are quite refreshing too.. :p

Before I go, I noticed he's got dish at the back. Nicely done mate. Cute decals as well.
